Finding a parent crying is alarming because you never see them cry so it is weird to see them crying it is okward. And because you would never expect them to cry I mean if it is your dad than that is even weirder because he is tougher than probably anyone in your house so it is just super okward. If it was your mom than it wouldnt be that bad.
I think that finding a parent crying is so alarming because you look up to your parents. Their your rolll models. They are the toughest people that you no. To see one of them crying must mean that it's really serious. In general, I think you can't help crying. If you get a physical or a mental injury you just do it. You can't really control it.
I think finding a parent crying is very alarming because they are always so strong. Most of the time they cry because of death so you have to comfort them. Crying in general is you taking the sorrow out of your body and looking on to what is next. Also they cry because of internal pain not injuries.
Well i only find my dad crying on funerals or weddings.well i think why parent i alarming is because my parents crying alot because some of the stuff they can move on and forget about which some kids cant.Crying is a good way to express how you feel or else your like a soda can waiting to POP.
I have mixed feelings for crying. To me there are two types of cryers the ones who have a true reason to cry about. Also come the ones that I dont have strong feelings about like the cry babies like when i flick my cousin and he startes crying like you wouldnt believe it. As mr. Bunel said in class i think it's a good healthy thing to cry. Unlike a person like my mom who keeps everything inside and eventually gets beond herslf and is ANGRY. If you need to cry though in my opinon you should.
I agree. Sometimes my relatives can be real cry babies, one of them once cried when I threw a pillow at him
I agree about crying being healthy defintely.
I definietly agree with you, right on...but, um.....why would you refer to flicking ur cousin ??? thats the only that I don't agree with.
Finding one of your parents crying is alarming because you always spook at your parents as very strong people and your role models. It is also alarming because it is normally the other way around. You are upset and your parents try to comfort you but when they cry it is the other way around. I used to view someone who is crying weak because the are not strong enough to hold it in. But after mr.b told us how he sees crying I also started to see it that way. As being strong for putting up with something that is very hard to deal with.
I totaly agree with you! I couldn't have said it any better. And just like you im starting to see it like Mr.B!
Everybody looks up to their parents as strong, brave adults. You would never imagine that they would cry. Your dad is like the strongest person ever, and you look up to them so much. Your dad is the last person in the world that you would expect to cry. But when you cry, it shows that you are strong and brave. It shows that you care and you are selfless for other people.
I totally agree with you Hannah. The first time I saw my dad cry I was like "Wow!" It's crazy seeing the person that you look up to cry. You are also, right on with crying showing that you are selfless. That's one of the reasons that we cry is to show that we are brave.
I agree with Pal it is hard to look at our parnets and see them crying because you look up to them and trust them. They are your proecters. When you cry you are crying becuase you are strong and you need to clean your soul out. It is like when you drink you are cleaning your trout out. You are cleaning your soul from the stress you are going thourgh, haddlebury
I think that it's surprising to see your parent crying because all your life they comfort you. While they're comforting you your thinking "Wow this person is by far the most brave person ever." Then, seeing that person cry you feel so surprised. You then, have to be brave like they were to you and fill in their shoes. I think crying in general is a mixture of sadness and strong ness! I think that because it shows that you can be strong and sad. It's good to be sad because its shows your strong.
I think Steven finds his parent crying at the table surprising because his father is usually strong-ish. He bottles up his feelings and keeps them to himself, so that he won't cry alot. Crying isn't weak, as STeven probably views it. He probably will actually get mad at his father for not being "tough." Although if his dad never cries, like STeven, he'll explode!
It seems kind of alarming when a parent crys because you dont see that very often. Normaly you veiw your parents as the big strong adults. And you dont picture them crying. Espeicialy dads!
%100 true! Great answer. To add on I would like to say that crying is not a show a weakness, but of strength, it shows you have the power to let go of all your sad emotions. Great answer AJ!
I think parents crying is alarming because they mature over time and become stronger emotionally. That means when the cry, it is something truly devastating to them. I think crying means that you are expressing pain, either physically or emotionally. Parents aren't generally people who cry because they are strong as I said before.
I think that it is alarming finding a parent crying because usually children cry, this is not new news to me nor you. Parents we usually think of as our hero and not a child, but sometimes we need to stand back and say that children and parents are the same just a little taller. They are usually there at the side lines at your soccer game and when you get cleated in the knee they are there to pick you up and tell you to get out there and have some team spirit. So when you see them there crying you feel that you need to do something. Just like you Mr.Bunel, I think that crying makes you a stronger person and you shouldn't be embarrassed. I think that as Kelly Clarkson once said,"What doesn't kill you make you stronger."It's the same thing you should know that crying is something that every human is capable of doing. That's how I feel! :-) <3
I agree. Great connection! it really works with the situation!
i agree that our parents are our heros, especially my father, i look up to him enormously, I have a great deal of respect for my father, his life is facinating. Everything he's done seems amazing, I like that you made a point to describe how alarming it is to see the oerson that you've looked up to your whole life start to cry.
Omg adelina, I love this!!!! Especially, the part about what kelly clarkson says!!!!! :)
You don't need to submit live. But just wanted to tell you I made sure that I elaborated upon my blog, it was an interesting topic and I certainly had to sit back and think about it!!! I think we should blog about stealing of the candy place and more drum questions tomorrow......lol. Good night Bunel and in my high pitch voice dooses(??)
I think it is alarming to see a parent crying because normally you put your head on them when you feel down. It is the other way around. My view on crying is that it is a good way to let out your feelings and to be strong. This is because instead of keeping your feelings inside, you have the courage to let them out. This shows how strong you are in the inside.
Great job Alexa! I agree that when you cry you show that you are strong, and you have the courage to let those tears out. And you are alarmed seing your parent cry is something I understand.
WOW!! i realy would have never thought if it that way it is true when you cry it isnt a sight of weekness it is a sight of streagnth. when you cry people take it as if you were week, but instead you are stronge enoghf to not hold you emotions in.
good job peppers!
I think finding an adult crying in general is surprising. It makes it even more alarming. When most kids are growing up they think their dad is like a superhero, but later in life they would come to a realization. It would usually go like this, kid sees dad cry and finally notices that there are alot of tough people and that your dad is tough but crying makes them tougher. That's also when most kids notice that if the strongest person in their life cries its okay for them to, in fact it's more than okay because you can't keep all of your emotions inside you're just going to explode one day like a can of soda being shaken over and over again. Ithink that Steven is very surprised because how he describes it his dad is pretty tough and expressionless so, to see him cry was very alarming. In general crying is how people express their emotions like laughing and smiling when you are happy and crying and pouting when you are sad. Everyone cries at some point in their life and if you don't there might be something wrong with you.
( sorry if it was too long I had alot of thoughts on this topic😜)
Just reading some older blogs... love it Mary. Great connections and details. !! :P
Seeing a parent cry is so alarming because they rarely do. The only time you see a parent cry is either when they are extremely injured or really sad. I know this because I've seen parents cry a couple of times. One warning, if you see a parent crying you now something bad has happened to them.
When I view crying in general, I think of it in many different ways. I picture crying as something happy, sad, bullied or injured. I primarily think of crying as a sad reaction.
I think it is surprising to see a parent cry because through my eyes when I see my parents cry is that something is wrong like something horrible happened. When Steven found his dad crying at the table he was being overwhelmed with work papers and Jeffrey's cancer problem I think it was alarming because my parents have always been my role models and to see them cry made me alarmed. I view crying as a way to relax. That is how I view crying in general
Well...... the first time you see one of your parents cry it is alarming because you think of them as you protectors. Even though you love them you are just shocked (more when you are little) your strong mommy or daddy cries. When I saw my mom cry when I was little for the first time I was like, would why would my mom cry? But the truth is that everyone cries and it means that you have been through something hard and you need to let it go. When you crying you are cleaning your soul from the hard experience. You need to cry and it is healthy to cry. That is why I think Steven was so taken back by seeing dad cry and what I think of crying.
i think that he was shock because him dad is so serious. He baraly talked to Steven. how i feel about crying is releaseing all emoishions and leting those emoshions fly free. so i dont feel all that bad about it. Plus everybody does it and if not then thats just strang.
i think the reason why i am so alarmed when an adult cries is that they are usually the strong ones that we look up to and when they cry we know that something very bad is relly wrong. Also for other people that cry, something has to be wrong like maybe some one is hurt physically and verbally.
. I think that crying is an important not for the reason you might think, I believe that crying would be the conclusion to your pain, the accepting of your suffery. Some people believe to see crying as a weakness and shows that they are easily broken down and have a feint heart. I think that crying is human-nature for finally getting over something. But unfortunatley there are people who will find crying as a weakness which is not only bad for them because they won't cry, crying is the resolvment. If you do not cry as some people don't then you begin to hold on to it, you start to see the world against you in a way you should never have to feel. But there are people who will hold on to things and then lose track of what really matters and what's actually going on in their life. Becuase they are blinded from facing the truth, because they won't face it which is a cowardly act. One of my favorite old disney movies is "Meet The Robinsons" this movie has a quote that that changed the way I used to think "Keep Moving Forward"......
i think that i would find it shocking if a parent crys too just because kids belive that parents are really strong and that they never cry. When i find a parent crying i belive that something is REALY wronge or bad since parent in my point of veiw dont cry so much since they dont want to alarme the kids. so whenever i see a parent crying i find it very alarming or that somethig bad is happining. when i see a child crying it isnt that alarming since kids find things more hurtful so they cry more. i woulnt be so alarmed if they where crying also because they cry about things that arnt so dramatic like they would cry about there blanket or something.
