I have a cousin with Autism, so no, I don't have any questions about it. I have had to defend him countless times from a bunch of ignorant (can I say idiots?). And I was very abrupt and blunt with them.
I Already knew about Autism, but now I know a bit more on what Autistic people go through everyday.
I have heard of autism but i haven't really known what it has meant. I think it means that people who have mental and physical difficulties are considered Autism. I want to know what autuism means and how people get it?
I know all about what the lady that we were watching today was talking about because I know multiple people who have autism. I don't have anymore questions either.
I think Autism is a disease , a disease where the person that is autistic is mentally disabled and can't function as well as others can bit certain parts of them are high functioning. A question I have is how are you born autistic, does it like run in your family , or is it because of a birth defect?
Autism comes in different forms. I never knew we were surrounded by so many autistic people. I still want to know how you are born with autism, what in their brains makes them react the way they do to certain things and what how you learn to control yourself as you get older.
Well I know that Autism is a disorder that gives you impaired social interaction and communication, and restricted and repetitive behavior. This affects my life because my brother helped out with an organization called Special Olympics. The Special Olympics is an organization that helps kids with special needs interact in sports that could help with the kids social and physical disabilities. Also last night I watched a movie on Sarah Palin. Sarah Palin has a son with down syndrome which is not Autism but she fought for her son with his special needs and helped other kids with disabilities. That is what I say. -Jonny
Honestly I think I did not learn much that I did not really know. What I did learn is about the lightbulbs stuff. I thought that was very interesting. I already knew about Temple. She is great!
I have heard the term Autism and i think it is some kind of disability thing. I know that it can have different effects on people and some are: having a hard time making eye contact, not connecting with others well, not taking changes well, and repeating movments over and over. Some questions i have are: 1-Can you get it when your already grownup? 2-Can you grow out of it? 3-Is there medicine for it? 4-Are there things that make you more likley to get it? 5-Are you more likley to get it if, say, your great grandpa had it?
Ummm... i kinda maybe sorta forgot what we are writing about. I think it might of been to write what questions we still have and to write what we learned?? well im doing that. None of my questions were answered, and i learned that autistic people can have messed up senses. I never thought about how terrible walmart can be! I think that Autism is a terribe thing that must be really hard to deal with.
Yes, I have heard of Autism. I think it means that you have problems with being social. I think this is a horrible problem.
From what i heard today, I realized how horrible Autism is. I realized how the problems of Autism is horrible and wish this never happened to anyone. Now I realize why Jack was acting like that when i first met him.
Now that i know what Autism is, I realized how it effects that person that has it. I realize how bad the sensory problems effects how that person reacts. I now feel horrible for Jack.
I'm sorry I don't know what autism does or what it is.One thing i know that it can make you not talk or make you a little out or the ordinary.Sorry guys I don't know much, well i hope i can learn.Sorry guys.
Yeah, I have heard of the term Autisum. My little brother has a friend with it.I am pretty sure it is a disease that makes you have a hard time learning certain but, lets you excel in others. I have always wondered whare you get it from and, how it is to live with it yourself.
I have heard the term Autism many times in my life. I know it is a mental illness, and the level of Autism in a person can vary, and thats why they call it the Autism Spectrum. I don't know what Autism does and I would like to know, and also want to know what levels there are on the Autism spectrum.
I think now that I know more about Autism that I will understand people better. Honestly, before I learned this I just thought those people were having tantrums, but now I know differently and should respect people with disabilities just as much as I would anyone else (Mabye even more) because of the challenges they face in day-to-day life.
Yes, I have heard of autism. I think that autism is a learning disability people have. I think it affects the way they think. Questions I have are, what else does autism do to you?
Seeing this video has helped my understand Autism a lot better. I now know that they react to different things. For example, the computer screen or the flickering lights. There sences are also different then ours. Temple said that she was sensitive to touch. Now, I really don't have any questions about Autism.
I think Autism means that you you have a disease that makes it more challenging to learn. The questions that I have about Autism are that what dose it do to you that makes it harder to learn? Also one other question is why do normal kids tease kids with Autism. Is it for the joy of making them feel bad or is it to make them feel better about themselves. Finally one more question is dose Autism affect any other part of your body? That is what I think Autism mean and also those are questions about it.
Now I know that Autism can be different for everyone because there are many different types and it has many different effects on anyone who has it.Like it could make it hard to hear, see, or even multi-task Still I have more questions on it. One is why dose it effect everyone in different ways and why is it not the same? Another question is why do people with Autism get so mad at things. I know it annoys them but why so much? Finally why are some people given Autism an not others? That is what I know about Autism and it is also the questions aboyt it that still remain in my head.
Autisim is a mental disorder that you are born with (im pretty sure). I know a couple people with autisim and i no it effects the way they learn and how they communicate with others.
I dont really have anymore questions because the video was very informative.
One of my sister's best friend's brother had Autism. I think Autism is a developmental disorder for children. It can cause you to be really weak in one area of learning and really strong in another. There are many typesof Autism that I know of. I would like to know what causes Autism, and what types of Autism there are. This is what I have to say about Autism.
I WROTE OUT A PAGE LONG RESPONSE AND THEN MY SISTER HIT BACKSPACE AND THE WHOLE THINK DELETED ARGHHH!!! But I learned that there are many diffrent ways people react to things when they have Autism. Some poeple dont like to be in very loud areas, and otheres dont like being touched. Temple (the woman who gave the speech) Doesnt like the feeling of itchy clothes too! Even though I learned all this I would still like to know how and when Autism is given to the child and can Autism be treated?
I personally do know what autism is. Autism is a brain problem, a form of mental retardation. Autism is more commonly found in boys, but it is not limmited to them. The people who have autism are just mentally handicapped is all, they just have a hard time expressing themselves. I know some people who have autism and they are awesome and great people. I do have a few questions though, I would like to know how autism is treated, how do people with it get help or learn things like how to express themselves better?
I now have a better understanding of autism, I know that it is a sesory thing more often than not and it can be accross a large and varied spectrum, I know that having autism can mean anything from not looking people in the eye when you talk to them, to a sensitivity to light that makes you not like well lit situations. you usually do not know if a person has autism right away and you should never jump to conclusions.
I think Autism is a disease that makes you act a certain way. My only questions are, how do you get it? what it can make you do, if I'm right. Is it a thing that kills? IS it contagious? These are all of my beautifully crafted questions.
I learned a lot about autism. I answered most of my questions like Is it contagious? No Another question that was answered was is it a thing that kills naturally? No. Are you born with it? Yes. All of my question's have been answered but I just want to say that I feel awfully bad for any autistic kids and adult's.
I think that autism means that you have some dead brain cells so then you act all strange. I will like to know what autism is because I don't know really what it is also how do you get it.
I dont know much about autism, but i do know its a brain disorder. One of my main questions about autism is, are you born with it? Can you be diagnosed with it? Both?
I learned a lot today including that autism is more complex then i thought. I didn't realise that little things we dont even notice can drive someone so nuts. I'm not saying its a bad thing though because i know they cant help what they are doing. Everone can say oh i know how you feel but they really dont. I feel that autism is really something that you cant even amagine living like unless you have or a sibling does.
I have heard of autism but I am not completely sure what it is. I think it is a thing that people have that makes it harder for them to communicate with other people.
I learned that autism is a serious disease that people are born with and that it has many different possible effects depending on te person. Some effects are that tet don't like really loud noises or that they have a hard time eating so they don't use eye contact an instead they point their good ear at you or they looke at your mouth. Also I learned that there are some good things about autism even though there isn't very many, some are that they are really good at math or at reading or writing. Those are some if the things I learned about autism today.
I think Autism means that someone has SERIOUS disabilitys and........and another thing I don't see why some people get mad when we use the word "Retard/Retarded"
I learned that people with autism can get mad at lightbulbs, if someone touches them and also they do not make eye contact. But I still have some questions first could you get ride of it and second how do people live like this because it must be hard.
After hearing the doctor i think i got a better understanding of autism. For example I did not know that people with autism cant stand fluorescant lights and I didnt know that they couldnt stand some sounds. I still dont really have any questions though besides what causes autism. That is what i think about autism
I think that autism means that you have a mental problem that you are born with that can affect the way you live your daily life. I want to know why Autistic people can't just be treated the same as everyone else because they are just like us but they were given a disease that they couldn't help with.
(sorry about the earlier comment my sister was messing around when i stopped to use the bathroom)Anyway this is what i learned about autism. I learned that everyones autism is different and some people are annoyed by touch sight or hearing.I alsolearned that there are very many people who have autism in our school.I also got to learn that normal this can make you go insane or act weird. My last thing is that alot of people have several cool abilities like memory or reading. This is what i learned about autism i hope i can learn more because this is very interesting and i hope they find a way to get the disabilaties away. From,
Well, after todays lesson, I do know a bit more about autism, but not everything, like I still wonder where you could get it from. Also, wonder if it is genetic. Though I did learn that it has many types from mild to savire. I aslo learned that things tha bother them wont always bother everyone else.
Now that I have watched some of video....... I see autisim different now... I think autisim means its gonna be difficult to communicate with otheds since there brain works different from our regular brain.... Something else that I learned is they react to things.......as we see there is no reason to act like that its only the school bell........ By the way this was pretty long of a comment maybe because theres alot of periods.-KobeB24
