I think Winnie`s decision was fine. I mean she had the choice to keep the water, but she decided to give it to the toad. I think it was fine to knock the toad off the wheel. I think it was the toad is pretty clueless about being knocked off the wheel. It doesn't even know, but Winnie is helping the toad not get killed by getting hit by cars in the road.
I think Winnie's decision of stopping the toads wheel and letting him live forever instead of her what a great decision. I think this because the majority of the book the Tucks' said not to drink the water,so she did follow there instructions,I think it was a better idea to stop the toads wheel because it symbolizes a big part of the book: being free and it means alot to Winnie because it seems like when something tragic or something upset happens to Winnie the toad is always there for her.So the decision of letting the toad live forever was a way for the toad to always see and protect Winnie.
I think that Winnie's decision to give the toad her water could have been more thoughtout. She could have given the toad half of the bottle of water and save the rest of it for her. But on the other hand she can still go to the wood and get some water for her when she is 17. I dont think she is wrong for knocking the toad off of the cycle of life, because the toad won't worry about not growing any older and it will just live forever. Also all living things should go through the whole cycle to make room for other creatures.
I think it was wrong of winnie to give the water to the toad because even though the toad is a small animal that doesnt mean u shouldnt do the right thing. If you were in the toad's perspective you wouldnt be happy. Even though its only one toad out of millions in the world, it still isnt very kind. Winnie might of thought she was doing the right thing so the frog wont feel pain anymore, but being the same size and age forever would be horrible.
I think that is was very generous of Winnie to give the toad some of the water. I think that because tis way nothing can touch the toad or hurt him. I feel like that is Winnie's way of protecting the toad. You can tell since she gave him the water and told him that he is free forever. Although it was wrong to knock him off the life cycle it is also very thoughtful of Winnie to feel the need to protect him.
I think Wnnie's desion is wrong. I think this because if she might not want to drink it, and it knocks you off the wheel, and if she would never in a million years let a person have it, why let a toad have it! Besides, I'm not a toad, so I don't know what toad's think, but I'm pretty sure most of what they think is having the instinct to survive, but if the toad lives forever, that takes it away, so what does the toad have now? But, I kinda also apperciate how Winnie cares so much about the toad, but still! Mae Tuck cares a ton about Winnie and she wouldn't let Winnie go to the spring, she even KILLED the man in yellow suit to make sure that didn't happen! I don't get how Winnie can just do the opposite of what Mae did for her. Also Tuck said that animals, including toads, are part of the wheel and that was how it was meant to be, but she kicked the toad off the wheel anyway! It surprised me even more than when the man in the yellow suit died!
I think that Winnie is very fond of the toad, so in her mind it's the right thing to do. Winnie also thought that the toad would probably die soon if she didn't give him the water. She isn't wrong from knocking the toad off the wheel if the toad doesn't mind, which he probably won't.
i think the toad symbolizes winnie spirit wanting to be free and the dog is like the man in the yellow is like the dog trying to take her away. i think she wanted for the toad live forever because it would tell who she is.
She is not wrong, because toads don't have that much knowledge. The toad wouldn't know all the things the tucks went through. Also, most toads don't live very long, so Winnie wanted the toad to be safe forever. After all the things Tuck told her, Winnie wasn't really sure if she wanted to drink the water.
I think that Winnie's decision is both wrong and right. I think that Winnie's decision is right because she wanted to protect the toad and she wanted the toad to be safe forever so nothing could happen to it. I also think it's not wrong because it is not like the toad actually realizes it because it doesn't have a mind like us where it could think like the Tucks and he realizes that living forever is a bad thing. I also think that it was a bad thing that Winnie put the water on the toad because the toad does need to die at one point because every living thing ( except for the Tucks) needs to go at one point. It is part of the wheel and now Winnie just pushed the little toad off. One more thing about Winnie is that she should have just put inside the fence and let it be inside the fence instead of putting the water on it. I also think that is why the toad is on the front cover of the book.
I think it's unfair because after all the time tuck says it stinks not to be able to change or grow and get older Winnie goes and knocks the toad right of the wheel what if the toad had a serious sickness well Winnie just made that toad suffer for. Thousands and thousands of years
I personaly would not have wasted the water on the toad because if i ended up wanting to live forever something could happen and not allow me to get any water. But, maybe winnie decieded that she did not want to live forever because she thought the tucks were correct. Mainly about getting knocked off the wheel.
i think she did the right thing beacause she was protecting the toad. she said to the dog this is my toad so leave it alone. she was acting as if she was the mother. at the end she said there your safe forever. see was just trying to help plus if its true there still alot of water in the spring.
I think Winnie was wrong knocking the toad off the wheel of life. I say that because the toad will have to fight through the pain like the Tuck's did. For example, Miles lost his wife, Anna, after drinking the water. Anna ran away when she found out Miles was not getting any older. The toad will also lose his family at one point. He will have to find a way to survive on his own. Winnie will not be there to take care of him.
Well....... I don't know if what she did was wrong but I think over the whole book she started to care about the toad like a sister or a brother because she is an only child. Then the Tucks said that it would be bad if every thing in life lived forever, the earth would be crowed and there would be no nothing to do and it would be hard to live with so many people. She didn't have the toad's permission. That is why I think that it was kind of a bad thing but it had good intentions.
I dont think it would be ok to give the toad the water because it would be knocking the toad of the weel and somewhat like the tucks said you have to go around the whole weel you cant pick the parts that you dont like out thats why winnie should not give the toad the water because it would be knocking the toad of the weel
I think that giving the water to the toad was not a bad choice. Winnie's choice for giving the water to the toad was not because she wasn't trying to give him life forever, she was helping him live and to not be able to be hurt because they are freinds. I don't see any problem with giving the toad some of the water because its not like a toad is going to imform the whole town about the water (because its a toad) and the toad isn't another person or a voice like Tuck was talking about.
