I think that Catherine a lot like Steven at the beginning of "Drums, Girls, and Dangerous Pie" because in the beginning of the book they both think that their little brother is the most annoying thing and they make you think that they hate or dislike their sibling taking their parents attention from them to their sibling.I think that the ending will be similar also. Signed Gator (snap crunch)
Catherine is a lot like Steven in the beginning of the book because she doesn't seem to understand how lucky she is to have a brother, and that his conditions could be worse. For example when she talks about hoping he will wake up one morning and be normal, or that there was a pill that would change him into a normal person. But does she know what a normal person is? She doesn't respect that he is how he is and there's nothing she can do about it. If her brother was normal she needs to think about how different her whole life would be. It would change everything, and there would be no more "rules".
I think that Catherine is a lot like Steven was at the beginning of drums, girls because they were both very annoyed with their little brother. In "Rules" Catherine wants her brother to be normal and get normal rules. In "Drums, Girls, and Dangerous Pie" Steven wants his brother to be less annoying and to just give him peace and quite sometimes.
Well, Catherine is a lot like Steven because they both have little siblings. They both care for them in so many ways. They both have something that affects how Catherine and Steven thought about them.
Well what I think the similarities are that they are both little evil older sibling who only cares about them. I know this because in DGADP steven only cared about getting in trouble about the nose bleedy thing. In Rules, catherine only cares about looking bad in front of everybody because of his disabilities. Also in both books, the older siblings both feel lost and unfriended , but they don't go out there and do any thing. In DGADP, steven feels that he is a nobody and nobody cares about him but, he plays drums all day and acts like hermit. In Rules, catherine does not have any friends and is in the void of summer locked in with no fun and an autistic brother. Yet still, we don't see he walking down town putting up posters saying: NEED FRIEND DESPERATELY! ( which is a very very good idea by the way catherine). So both kids lagging and annoying.
In the beginning of the story, Katherine is embarrassed at the things that her brother does. the story is the same with Steven. He calls his brither the most annoying thing in the world. Katherine sees her brother as an embaressment to her and wishes she had a different brother. they both also think of mainly themselves and not the others around them.
Catherine is like Steven in the beginning because she does everything shes told to but doesnt get the picture at one hundred percent yet. She needs to learn how important her little brother is now and that what he learns now will always help him in later life.
She just needs to be forturent and live with what she has.
One example is they both feel a large sense of responsibility for their younger sibling. Like when Catherine has to make sure David gets to clinic on time, that is similar to when Steven wakes up early just to make Jeffrey breakfast so they are both very mature.
I think while Catherine is not exactly like Steven, they have many similarites. Their brothers both have disabilities (Jeffery cancer David Autism), and they both dispise their brothers. They also both are ignorant of what other people feel, like what steven's family felt and what DAvid felt.
Catherine is a lot like steven was in the beginning of Drums girls and dangerous pie because she doesnt really understand how her brother feels. All catherine really cares about is not being embarresed by her brother instead of caring if hes comfortable or not. Steven didnt care abotu steven that much in the beginning of the book but it changed through out the book!
I think catherine is a lot like steven from Drums, girls & Dangerous Pie because catherine is like steven in that being a little bossy and rude to her brother just like steven was. Also, Catherine is embarassed by her brother and dosen`t like to be around him. Steven was like this too, and he got upset when everybody was paying attention to ardoable little jeffy, and nobody was paying attention to plain old steven. I predict catherine will feel this way too, and just like steven change. Thats all for today folks. ( my brain is running low from lat time!) BYE!!!!!!!
I think Catherine and Steven are alot a like. One way is that both Steven and Catherine get annoyed by their brothers. One example is that in Rules Catherine got annoyed by how sometimes goes he dose things that people think are weird and she gets embarrassed. That also happened in Drums, Girls, and Dangerous Pie. Another example is that both Catherine
Both Stephen and Catherine are alot a like in many ways. One way is that they both get annoyed by their brothers. In the book Rules Catherine gets annoyed when her brother dose things that people think are weird and she gets in embarrassed. It is the same in the other book but the only thing that is different is that Stevens's brother gets all the attention and Steven gets none so he gets mad. One final example is that both Catherine and Steven have to teach there brothers the rules of life and how to deal with lots of problems that they will come across. That is how I think Catherine and Steven are a like.
Catherine is like Steven in the beginning of Drums, Girls, and Dangerous Pie because they both have little brothers that embarrass them and can drive them crazy. For example, Catherine is embarrassed when David tells the guys who had the moving truck that, "If someone says hi, you say hi back." the guy said "Whats wrong with this kid." and Catherine was really embarrassed and she wished that someone would invent a pill so David would wake up without Autism and she could have a normal brother. In Drums, girls, and Dangerous Pie, Steven is embarrassed when Jeffery tells Renee about Steven practicing in front of the mirror.
Drums girls and rules are alike. They are alike because both have a sibling they consider vey annoying and that they make themselves seem weird or different.they are also alike because they both have siblings that have medical conditions that effect they behave and act for Jeffery it was getting sick on the slightest foods and for David it is like taking off his pants in public or yelling back hi.I think the two books are very differnet but yet very alike.
Catherine and Steven are alike in a couple differen ways. For starters they both only care about themselves. Cartherine wants (forgot his name) to be perfect and wake up after a pill without autism. She wants this so he will stop embarresing her not carring that he has autism. In drums girls and dsngerous pie Steven always got made at Jeffrey for doing things like messing with his special sticks. Not realizing what was to come in the future.
Well the two characters that you speak of are alike one because they have siblings that are younger and don't understand life. I can prove this by saying that in the beginning of drums girls dangerous pie Jeffy makes something that he calls dangerous pie. He uses Steven's "Special Sticks" to stir the pot with the pie in it. In the beginning of rules David the brother of Catherine needs her to make a special rules list containing all of the rules that are common sense to those outside of the Autistic Spectrum. So in this way the Characters, Steven and Catherine are the same. It just goes to show that there is always some sort of connection between books.
i think that she is like Steven because she dispises her brother and is embarresed by them. In Drums Girls Steven was embareesed that his brother would make a scene and embarence him. In Rules she is embarenced because her brother has autism and he makes mistakes that are bad.
Catherine and Steven both share one characteristic in the begining of the book; Thinking their younger siblings with medical disorders are irritating and annoying. In both books, they tell us how they wish their siblings were normal, and that they could act less annoying and embarassing infront of other people.
Well Cathrine and Steven have different and similar situations at the same time. Catherine and Steven remind me of each other because they seem both annoyed with ther little brothers. Steven's little brother Jeffery has leukemia and Catharines little brother David has autism. They both have very hard and sad things to deal with.
Well Steven in the first half in the book was very different then how he ended the book. Steven, only cared about what happend to him and didnt think about anybody else JUST HIM. For an example,.when he found out jeffery had cancer he was relief that he didnt get in truoble for what ever he did. But Jeffery's situation was more important but steven didnt get that.
Catherine is like Steven because both of them don't really like their siblings in the beginning because they bother them a lot. For Steven it was that Jeffrey always did stuff that Steven didn't like, like how Jeffrey took his Special Sticks and used them for making the Dangerous Pie. For Catherine it is her brother David because he has autism and she doesn't understand it completely so she reacts badly to what her brother does which causes her brother to become confused and frustrated which is bad for her because she has to try to control him but she can't. That is Catherine is like Steven.
