If I oculd lose a limb, I think I would chose my left arm. I would chose a limb on my left side because I am right-handed/footed. I would chose my arm because it would be easier to play soccer with a fake arm, than leg. Also I could walk easier and I mght be removing less of myself than if I lost my leg, so I would feel more whole.
If I were to lose a limb like Jessica did, I would pick losing my arm. I would pick this for many reason; one being that it's easier to lose an arm in my opinion because I don't intend on being a football, baseball, tennis, or gymnast player. Also, one of the main things that people have to participate in is running that has become a huge phenomena and it would be hard to run if you didn't have legs.Another and my last reason is I look up to Bethany Hamilton, who's dream was to become a pro surfer. But, unfortunately when an 8 foot shark bit here arm off thinking she was a seal; she too lost hope. But, after meeting with her church and going on on mission trips she realized that people were less fortunate then her; losing their homes and families to tsunamis. After that trip she trained, worked really hard and never lost hope. Now, she is the biggest face of surfing. I don't know how many times I've watched the movie Soul Surfer( a movie about her journey). That is why I would choose to lose an arm.~
If I had to choose either my leg or my arm to have to loose I think it would be my leg. I would choose my leg because I think that even though you use your legs all the time it is easier to warm up to a fake leg than an arm because with the fake leg you are only putting a little bit of pressure on the leg to help support your body, but with the fake arm even though you still have to learn how to move it like a leg you lift more thing and use your arm in many more different ways than your legs. Also another reason that I would rather lose my leg that arm is because you get more mental support meaning more people lose their legs than arms so you have more people that are going through what you are so they can help you get through it in ways that seemed helpful when they first stated. So if I had to loose either my arm or leg I would choose my leg.
I would chose to loose an arm over a leg. This is a very hard for me because my life right now lacrosse soccer goalie basketball and those you need arms for. Although arms are one of the important things in our day to day life I think leg is still more important. Another reason you need legs is just to travel even if it's walking to the dinner table or walking to school we look over how much our legs are needed
I would want to lose an arm because then I wouldn't have to deal with crutches and a wheelchair until I get the bionic leg. But for an arm it wouldn't be as big of a problem. Also for a bionic leg I would have to get used to walking on it and keeping my balance with the whole new leg that I have only so much control over. But for an arm I wouldn't have to put all my weight on it and it wouldn't be as hard to get used to it because its not like I have to use it constantly I could just use my other arm until I get comfortable with the bionic one.
I would loose my arm because I think you use your legs more than your arms. For example, walking is something you do most in your life, so I would think it is less important.
Well..... Thats a tough choice.... I think that I would choose to remove my leg. The reason is because you do so many things with your arm. You write, type, eat, draw, and so man other things. And anyway you can get a fake leg that would function like a normal one. After that, it would almost be like a normal life. There are just so many other everyday things that you do with your arm.
If I had a choice of losing an arm or a leg I would chose my non dominant arm. I would do this because you can't travel without a leg. You basically can't do anything without a leg. Without an arm, you can still write, and walk. You wouldn't be stuck in a hospital. You could go to school while you were waiting for a mechanical arm to come in.
I if i could lose a limb I would lose my left arm or left leg it depends.
I would lose my left arm because I dont use it that much plus I have my right arm to replace the left arm.I would get my left leg if i was bk.Because I it would heal faster so i owuldent have to go threw the pain. But the down side is i have to use crutches but i could get a fake leg.
If given a choice, I would rather lose an arm than a leg.
I like to run around outside which requires two legs. With out two legs, it would be much more difficult to chase my dog outside.
Even though it would be difficult to lose a leg, an arm would also be difficult to lose. I enjoy using my arms to throw a football outside with my friends. It would be hard to do these things with only one arm
This is a very hard choice. Though if I had to choose, I think I would lose an arm. This is because I rather be able to walk easily and normally forever. With a Prostetic leg i would probably be to scared to run and act normally. I love to dance and If I lost my leg I would probably never be able to dance again. I can't risk losing my dream. This is why I rather lose my arm. I would be able to do more things like ride my bike with one hand instead, dance, play sports, and more. Of course if I had a choice I wouldnt want to lose anything but that's not an option.
~love peppy weppy <3 :)
If I had to lose an arm or a leg it would be for me a arm. The reason why I would chose an arm is because the toll it would take on me if I chose a leg. If I chose a leg it would be difficult for me to walk, kick, and swim. I do play sports that always use arms which are baseball, basketball, and tennis. This was a tough chose but this will be easier for me to live my life.
If I had the choice to loose a limb, I would loose my arm. Your leg is what supports your body, and it holds all of your weight. Your arm can be used for millions of things, but with one arm you can still do many of those things. Your leg can also be used for millions of things, but with one leg you can't do many of those things.Loosing your leg would also be very very painful. The leg has many muscles in it, and it is hard without it.Having one arm is a whole lot easier then only having one leg. As you can see, there are thousands of negitave thoughts to loosing a leg, but there are not as many negitave thoughts for an arm.
I think it would be very hard to chose because either way there are still a lot of disadvantages.I think that either way i would be thankful that i am able to wake up every morning.
well i wouldent lose a limb period. but if i did it would probible my left leg. this way i can play a speciel kind of hockey. now if i lost a arm i wouldet be able to so thats why i would chose left leg. Unless i had my right arm all bulcked with musle
Iam very indecisive because if I lost and arm I could still walk around and play some sports like soccer. However if I lose a leg I would not be able to walk or play sports but could do my school work and pick up things that I need. For these reasons I couldn't decide.
If I had to lose a limb between an arm and a leg, my answer would problably be an arm. When you lose a leg, it is hard to walk. You couldn't do things you take for an easy everyday task. As there are also disabilities to losing an arm, the troubles are alot better. You would not be able to write if your dominate hand was lost and you would have to learn to write with your non dominate hand. It would be hard but not as bad as losing a leg.
I think that I would lose an arm, because if you lose your legs to walk and move from place to place is so hard. Also I am a dancer so I use my legs even more than a regular person does and I would never be able to dance again if I had no leg or a fake leg. There are so many more things that I rely on my legs to do like exercise, walking, sitting down. Even though it would still be hard to have a one arm or have one fake arm I think it is better than a leg.
If i could choose a limb to lose I would probably choose my leg because you could always get a fake leg and you could use crutches or a wheelchair. But if you loose an arm it would be very hard to function because you use your hands to pick things up and just to do ALOT of things...! Also, it still wouldn't be the same because it would be hard to move your fake arm.....
