I definantly think t.hat she is not being selfish for wanting the new running leg. I mean of course shes going to want it. Its like this, you can't take a frogs feet and not expect it too be excited when it can jump again. Seriously! She wasn't the one to set it up, but the least she can do is appreciate it and she is, she is learning to have hope. More things have happened that are far-fetched than anything else!
I think it is selfish of Jessica to want a $20,000 prosthetic running leg. Jessica’s parents are doing their best to help Jessica walk again. Jessica’s parents had already bought her a $20,000 prosthetic leg. The new $20,000 leg is specialized for running. If Jessica’s parents don’t buy the new $20,000 prosthetic leg, they can use that money to pay their bills. Jessica has another way to earn the money for the leg. The school is having different types of fundraisers. Hopefully, this will get her close to her $20,000 goal.
I dont really think so because she really wants to be able to do what she loves, running and that is what she needs to do that!
I thought that Jessica was still debating wheither she should get a running leg or help her parents out. But if she decided to get a running leg I don't think that would be selfish. If she got a running with her parents money that would be selfish. But Jessica wouldn't be spending a cent their money. If the fundraiser works, shes going to spend that money, not her parents. Besides, the fundraiser is for the running leg.
well i dont really conceder it selfsh becase if you for instance take you biggest dream ever the one thing you wanted to do all your lif then have an accident taking away that dream of course if you get an oppertunity to keep chasing that dream the of course you are going to wan to. so i think that, it snt selfish it is normal for her to want to have those running legs even if the moeny that the leg cost could also go to help herparents pay all the bills.
I don't think it's selfish for Jessica to want her running leg, because her friends and peers around her want to help with the money as well. Jessica's dad may not realize how much money the school will raise but I mean fund raisers at our school are a big hit and for a cause like that it will be much more money. I also think that it doesn't need to matter how much something will cost because, having Jessica alive is something much bigger that money can't buy.
I wouldn't use the word selfish because it is pretty strong, but yes. If they don't pay the bills they might have to live on the streets, and you might not survive. But I'd you don't get the running leg you will still survive, so I would be more lenient towards paying the bills.
I don't think it is very selfish of Jessica to want a funning leg. Since she has just lost her regular leg she can not run she wants that feeling again. Once you loose something you only start to miss it when you do not have it any more. Now since Jessica has that feeling you can not blame her. She needs that leg.
I dont think that it is selfish of Jessica to want the leg because she also knows that it would help her parents with the bills. If Jessica knows that it could help her parents with the bills then she isn't thinking of only herself and she knows she has an option of giving the money to her parents. Also because everybody wants something it isn't selfish it's just what they want. She isn't complaining to her parents that the money should go to her leg and not help her parents with the bill. So I don't think that it is selfish of Jessica to want the leg.
I don't really think that it is selfish because she is the one who lost running, her dream! So I mean it would only be fair if she could somehow get her dream of running back.... Also it's not like Jessica suggested the whole fundraiser thing so she can't really stop them because they are just trying to help her!!
No I dont think that it is selfish of Jessica to want her running leg. Yes, it will cost a lot, but also, she may never run again. This is her only chance to run. Her parents should understand that. Im not saying that she should get her leg in like a month. She should let her parents recover from the bill overload, and let them take care of the primerary things.
I think it is selfish of jessica because her parents are working hard on the bills
i do not think that it is selfish for jessica to want the running leg even though the money could go to paying her medical bills because running is her life. its not just her hobby or favorite pastime, its all shes ever wanted. running is what she has worked for and put in blood, sweat, and tears into for most of high shcool. to jessica, running isnt just a sport- its a dream, and to give up now is something she cant imagine, and her family knows that.
I think it is a bit selfish. This is because her parents are struggling with bills and the last thing they'd want to do is pay even more. Though, I think that Jessica realizes how much they are struggling and she's trying to make herself least interested in getting a running leg. In the back of her mind, you can still tell that she wants one a lot, but she's trying to hide her feelings for the sake of her family!!!!!!!
~peppy the weppy :)
well yes AND no.yes because with the bill they already have like in drum girls and dagernaus pie 20,000 is alot to ask for even the school is trying to raise it for them. and no beacus if the parents know what she wants in life then they should do what ever it takes. so mosty yes. but yes and no.
I don't think it is selfish for Jessica to be wanting running shoes. She lost something she truly loved. She should be able to want that thing again. If someone loses a possession that is that expensive and they want another, that's just being greedy. If Jessica wants her running leg, and the track team can make the money, she should be able to buy it.
I don't think irt is selfish in any way because frist of all, Jessica didn't even know it was going to be 20,000 dollars. Once she found out she did realize that the team would never be able to make enough money for that. But with her parnts it is complicated because they understand her love of running and are trying to help but it is really hard on everyone.
