-I remember the first time I saw my father cry. December 18th, 1992 was the day of my Grandfather's funeral. I remember how everything seemed to happen in slow motion that day. As an 11 year-old, I was experiencing the death of a close family member for the first time. I knew that I was very sad, but I was having a hard time processing what all of it meant. I vividly remember watching my father eulogize my grandfather, and I remember how in awe I was that he could speak to the crowd about his deceased father without crying. When he finished and came back to where we were sitting, he sat next to me and he cried. It was at that time I started to finally let all of my tears out. At that time in my life, I looked at crying as a sign of weakness. After seeing my dad do the eulogy, I started to understand that crying can be a sign of love and strength.
