This would be a hard choice for me to decide because if he focuses on the dark storm cloud there would be no lies or falsehoods, but he may be sad if thinking about it too hard. On the other hand the silver lining would let him relax more but be thinking a lie is real. I really don't know which to choose.
I would tell steven to focus on the dark storm cloud because that would mean he would be focusing more on his brother's needs then what you can do with him. Meaning you will just focus on when he is ready to play. But I think you should help him through his tough time and do what you can. I also think you should try to think brighter thoughts and try to make the person who is hurt feel better.
I would give Steven advice about the dark cloud. This is because if i give him advice about the dark clouds, i can make them sound better. So it would give him more of a positive attitude
If I were giving Steven advice, I would tell him to focus on the Dark storm cloud. If you focus on the bad things that are happening, then you can realize a solution, or a way to make them better. If yout think only of the positive things, you will never find a solution to the problem. Think about it! You will never find a solution if you dont focus on the problem which in this situation, is the Dark storm cloud.
I would tell him to focus on both because thinking and understanding both will help him through this rough time.if he doesn't think about Jeffery's leukemia then he won't understand what he's going through and how their lives will be for the next few years (If he lives). If he doesn't think about the silver lining in his life right now, his bad mood will bring everyone else's down and he will put his family in depression. Also if he doesn't focus on the silver lining he could Jeffy's mood down and he might not try as hard and be brave as ha could be when everyone is optimistic during this rough time.
I aggree with you Jordan, because Steven needs different points of veiw to deal with this situation. If he just focuses on one of the cloud parts, he'll lose sight of the whole cloud! Then where would he be?
I would tell Steven to focus on the silver lining. I'd tell him that because Jeffrey having leukemia is a lot to handle. So if I were him whenever I got a happy distraction -no matter how little it is I would take it.
I understand your thinking, but he should focus on both. This will keep him aware of the problem, but able to keep a positive attitude. A "happy distraction" as you put it might distract him for awhile, but looking from allangles will help him silve the problem.
I would tell Steven to focus on the silver lining because it keeps him together. If he focuses on the storm cloud then he would be sad and miserable. All he would think about is sadness and negative thoughts. This way he would have better thought on life.
I would tell Steven to pay attention to both. I truly don't think that there will always be good things in life so you should alwasy have that thought in the back of your head. I am not saying that he sound alwasy think about that black storm cloud though. He should base most if not all of his thoughts and actions on that silver lining. But to tell you the truth Steven should be asking me in real life because I always give the BEST advice!
II would advise Steven to look at the silver lining, but also be logical if I had to give him advise. His situation is harsh enough as it is, and he shouldn't be making it worse by thinking glass-half-empty thoughts. I would also tell him to not think his sitiation is to amazing though, because that would be denial.
If i were to give Steven advice, I would defiantly tell him to focus on the silver lining. This is because if he focused on the dark storm cloud, he would always be upset. He might even make his brother upset, and that would never be good. This is why i would tell Steven to focus on the silver lining and not the dark storm cloud.
So I'm not so so so so sure of what the whole sliver lining thingy is but I'm guessing it has something to do about looking past the problem. If so I would tell steven to not look past the whole entire problem because it might blow up in his face. It is a big situation and I would not yell at steven if he looks at the problem right in the face. So what I suggest to him is to peer around the corner if you know what I mean.
Definetly focus on the silver lining. I would tell him this because the dark cloud is the bad part and the silver lining is the shiny happy part. Steven needs to know that in all bad situation comes a good one.
I get what you are trying to say, that each cloud has a silver lining, but I also see that each situation has an end. Clouds don't exactly have an end and they don't let you see both parts. i think I would tell him to consider both parts and not forget either or let them consume him.
I would tell steven to focus on the positvive things in his lfe like jeffry is still alive, and anette is still his friend. His parents are focusing on him a little bit more. I would choose to tell steven this because right now, he is not really looking toward the positive side of things and he is very, very gloomy. I think this would be good advice to tell steven.
Well I would tell him to look at the dark storm cloud because if he is looking at the silver lining then he is waisting his time. He's kidding himself with "oh jeffrey is all right"but he is not. Any way if you were to die would you rather jump off a cliff and think about your decision on the way or get shot in the head and die quick. What do you think Mr.B?
I would much rather get shot in the head and die quick.
If It were my choice, I would tell steven to look at the silver lining of the cloud. I would do this because right now steven really needs some cheering up, and really dosne`t need any more sorrow. I would also do this because steven is not doing well in math, his brother has lulimea and the only thing he finds enjoyable arethe drums. He needs to look at the happy side!
In my opinion itly depends on how he feels about this. If he feels that he wants him and his family to be happy then look at the silver lining focus on whats good forget the bad! But, i would prepare. I would prepare for the worst just so if something horrible happened who could some thoughts on what he's going to do.
i would tell Steven to look at the sliver liining.I would tell him that beacause he has to much to worry for already and is in need of some love and care. Steven needs to look at what is good and get happy and not get mad at everyone.I think Steven should just get happy to try to pull thgrough his change in life.
If I gave Steven advice I would tell him to look at the silver lining. I would tell him this beacause he is angry and misreble and he needs something good to happen to him. He has been very negative and he needs to be positive. What you make of things can affect what your mood is. I would tell Steven to see the glass half full intead of half empty. Every cloud has a silver lining and he needs to find it.
If I would give Steven advice on whether he should focus on the silver lining or the dark cloud, I would choose the silver lining. I would tell him to focus on that but to also be awareof the dark cloud that wau he doesn't get blinded by all the good thing and life and forget that bad things could be and are happening. Also I chose the silver lining because it is good to look at the good things in life and try to enjoy it intead of look at all the bad things and the possibly bad outcomes. That is why I would tell Steven to focus on the silver lining instead of the dark cloud.
I would tell Steven to focus on the silver lining because there is no point in stressing yourself on wage bad things when you can wait for the silver lining. Something good always comes out of the dark storm cloud!
